My Prayer
Tomorrow is the day we leave for vacation Lord; it will be September 11.
I even get to fly on a 747.
We finally got to the airport Lord, and we are now boarding the plane.
I hope we can get up in the air smoothly because it looks like it may rain.
I have never been on a real plane before Lord; I pray that I have a good flight.
Twenty minuets into the air, the guy in front of me yelled with all his might.
I think these guys are terrorist Lord, because they are carrying very sharp knives.
Is this the end of our lives?
They have already killed the pilots, and they have the stewardess tied to a chair.
All of a sudden, we mad a very sharp turn in the air.
I turned and asked my dad if he knew why we had turned around.
He replied with, “I do not know son but just sit there and do not make a sound.
The terrorists mumbled something Lord; I could not hear what they said.
All of a sudden colors popped into my head, they were blue, white, and red.
The terrorist said we would be crashing into the twin towers.
Was it I or was everything getting louder?
I got through on the airplane phone Lord, I wanted to call my mom and tell her that I love her,
I also wanted to say good-bye to her.
As I think, I thought I was glad that I was in the plane,
Because I know I will be with you Lord; a few people wont have to suffer pain.
I turned to my dad and we started to cry.
He first wiped his tears then mine.
I hope this will bring people closer to you.
And even display the American flag to.
I thought your life was supposed to flash before your eyes,
But it is you I see Lord, I see you standing my dad’s and my side.
You started talking to us, you said it was time to go.
Does that mean we have already crashed and blown?
I see a bright light, Lord; they say this was supposed to be.
My dad and I can see your face, Lord, we replied with yippee.
This was a very emotional time for Dad and I so you could call us fervent.
We walked up to you and you said, “Welcome good and faithful servants.” |
